Today's Cryptocurrency Prices: Markets are ringing in red as Bitcoin and Ethereum prices plummet.

Avalanche declined 0.57 percent to Rs 7,285.7, and Cardano fell 1.33 percent to Rs 83.86. In the previous 24 hours, Polkadot declined 1.74 percent to Rs 1,508 while Litecoin fell 2.63 percent to Rs 9,792.5. Tether was trading at Rs 78.27, up 0.09 percent.

The global cryptocurrency market-capitalisation fell 4.71 percent over the last 24 hours to $1.90 trillion while trading volumes were down 11.40 percent to $61.69 billion.

While decentralised finance (DeFi) accounted for 13.68 percent of the 24-hour cryptocurrency trading volume at $8.44 billion, stablecoins constituted 77.69 percent of the same at $47.92 billion.

Bitcoin's market dominance fell by 0.43 percent to 41.55 percent and the currency was trading at $40,782.87 on the morning of February 18.

In rupee terms, Bitcoin fell 1.31 percent to trade at Rs 33,84,999, while Ethereum dipped 1.44 percent to Rs 2,40,000
